Pearl Care Instructions

PROTECT YOUR PEARLS: Pearls can be damaged by contact with certain chemicals. Hairspray, perfume, cosmetics etc which will dull the lustre of a pearl and eventually damage its surface. If possible allow sufficient time before putting on your pearls after applying cosmetic products.

CLEAN YOUR PEARLS: Wipe the pearls with a soft, damp cloth after use to remove body oils or residue.

STORING YOUR PEARLS: Keep pearls separated from sharp items that may scratch them. The soft lined presentation box provided offers protective storage for your jewellery.

RESTRINGING YOUR PEARLS: If pearls are worn often, they should be restrung approximately once a year. Treasured Pearls only use 100% silk cord to string pearls for added strength. The silk cord is often knotted between each pearl to prevent loss if a break should occur. Knotting between pearls can also prevent damage due to the pearls rubbing against each other and wearing on the pearl nacre.
